Tranquility [proposal for a waterfront walkway artwork]
Sixty four steel rods, painted in harlequin* colours, stand motionless. A family walks up to the sculpture and the rods start swaying.
At night banks of coloured lights are activated when someone walks in the area. The pattern of the lights changes according to the sound of the sea.
*Harlequin colours change dependent on angle to light source and are used for cars.
